SATSYMPH-Hermes — Creating Your Own Performance Space

Marc Yeats will present the work of SATSYMPH, in particular ‘on a theme of Hermes’
The presentation will cover how SATSYMPH uses location-based and smartphone technologies to create public installations of sound and word. Using images and sound clips as well as some audience participation, Marc will demystify some of the technology behind this new way of creating, experiencing and disseminating music and word. As Marc is a composer there will be a special emphasis on how using these technologies and approaches has impacted on his own practice as well as a sneaky preview of some future possibilities :: more
