Joe Stevens ‘Ringstead’ :: Celebrating ‘Silent Spring’ at 50

In 2012 The Borderbend Arts Collective worked with other partner organizations to present ‘Celebrating Silent Spring at 50′. Rachel Carson’s amazing Silent Spring, published in 1962, is an essential book that helped to spark the modern environmental movement. 2012 marked the 50th anniversary of Silent Spring’s publication http://www.silentspringat50.org/index.html. Associate artist Joe Stevens contributed his ‘Ringstead’ field recordings http://www.silentspringat50.org/4/post/2012/07/joe-stevens.html along with a number of other international artists.
