Portesham spring sound walk and audio editing workshop

Saturday 10th walk and record, Sunday 11th May audio editing workshop [optional]

As part of the South Dorset Ridgeway Landscape Partnership, DIVA contemporary (Bridport) is running a series of Seasonal Sound Walks on the Ridgeway, followed by an optional sound editing workshop.

On Saturday 10th May we will be leading the second of our Spring Listening Walks, starting in Portesham.  We will walk up through the village and then climb up to Blackdown and Hardys Monument through some sheltered woodland which should be bursting with Spring life.  At Hardys Monument there will be the chance to enjoy the panoramic views and listen to DIVAconemporary director Victoria Pirie explain some of the geological and historical aspects of the Ridgeway.  After that we will continue back towards Portesham Farm and the route back down into Portesham.  Throughout the walk participants will be listening to and recording seasonal sounds, using DIVA’s professional sound recording equipment.

Places are limited so early booking is advisable. ::more
